Following the success of last year’s great event, we plan to run another community fair to coincide with the weekend of St Augustine’s Day. This will run from 10 am to 4 pm on Sat 27th August. This year we will have lots of exciting stalls including home baking, arts and crafts, Gambian and Indian crafted items, bric-a-brac, a giant tombola and many more stalls run by church members and community groups alike.
Special attention to children is being made this year, with a bouncy castle, “Beat The Goalie” competition and other games, as well as the opportunity for children to make their own arts and crafts items.
There will be tea/coffee and pancakes available in the morning, followed by an afternoon barbecue and when the time for afternoon tea approaches cream teas will be available.
There are still one or two spaces on the River City tour. Have a visit round the set where the TV show is filmed then enjoy lunch at Dumbarton Golf Club for a fully inclusive price of £8. Leaving the church hall at 9.45 am (lifts to the set will be provided).
Numbers are strictly limited to 30, so if you’re interested sign up ASAP.
Friends of St Augustine’s are organising a pre-concert buffet on Tuesday 21st June. Come along from 6 pm, enjoy some good food and good company then go on to the Jessica Weidman concert. Only £3 per person.
Sign up on the list in the hall and come along for a great evening of food and music.

The Rector has been signed off for two weeks, “on the sick” The AF has kicked off again and with a heart rate of over 120bpm, he’s been told to take the tablets and sit on his behind until the atrial fibrillation calms down! All very boring for the Rector, but things will continue fine in St Augustine’s without him!
