Following the success of the last one, there will be another evening of live music in the church on Friday 10th August. Come along to hear local bands displaying their talents. Cost is £3 and profits go to local charities. All welcome
The girls from STAGG have decided to take on a series of activities in August, which include
1st: A walk up to Overtoun House, followed by a tour of the building and a picnic.
8th: A trip to Cumbrae to cycle round the island and have a visit to the Cathedral of the Isles
15th: The Great Helensburgh Charity Shop Hunt – each person has £5, which they have to use to buy an entire outfit (including a hat) for a fashion show when the regular Tuesday evening meetings start again.
The next Dumbarton Churches Together Prayer and Praise evening will be hosted by The Baptist Church on Monday 8th October.
The next country trip will take place on 4th August. Meet at Linn Gardens, on the Shore Road to Cove at 2 pm. Options are to either go round the gardens (which have an admission charge) or to sit or wander by the shore. Then we move on for tea at Kilgreggan. If you’re interested in coming along please contact Tim Rhead.
The AGM of the Dumbarton Gambia Education Association will take place on Wed 25th July in the Community Hall at 7.30 pm. Anyone interested in finding out about the business of the charity over the last year or learning more about exactly what we do is welcome to come along.
