Pat Smith will be ordained as Deacon on Sat 8th September at St Mary’s Cathedral, Glasgow. Pat has been appointed as a non-stipendiary curate at St Augustine’s, taking up her post on Sept 9th.
We are organising a bus to Glasgow for Pat’s ordination, leaving St Augustine’s about 12.30 pm and returning about 4.30 pm when we hope to have a parish reception for Pat, her husband and some of their friends. If anyone would like a seat on the bus please sign up on the list in the Community Hall.
The party is for everyone, whether you can make it to the Ordination Service or not, so please come along.
The Gathering is a Diocesan Day to be held in St Silas. We will be celebrating progress made in our Mission Action Planning. This will be a very special day and we hope that a lot of people from St Augustine’s will be able to attend.
Watch out for more information.
