At an EGM on June 27th, the congregation voted to join with St Mungo’s Alexandria in a linked charge.
There will now be a canonical process that needs to be gone through to enable this to happen.
A part-time Associate Priest will be appointed to the clergy team which already has a Rector and Curate in place. Meanwhile, Kenny will be Interim Priest-in-Charge of St Mungo’s from July 15th.
Barbara Barnes has been awarded the BEM in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list.
The next Country Trip will take us back to the island of Inchmahone on the Lake of Menteith. We went there last year and loved it: you can walk round the island in 20 minutes but there is no need to walk at all; just sit beside the ruins of the abbey. Getting on and off the boat is all the physical effort required. On the way back, we will as usual call at a tea-room.
See Tim or Rosemary for more information.
The next meeting will be “Stations of The Cross” in conjunction with the weekend taking place at Kinnoull. This will start at 7.30 pm
This will take place at St Ninian’s, Troon at 7.30 pm. All welcome. Please speak to Evelyn if you need a lift there.
An Extraordinary Congregational Meeting to discuss a possibility of developing a Team Ministry strategy along with St Mungo’s, Alexandria will be held on June 27th at 7.30 pm. The Bishop and/or Dean will be in attendance.
Please attend if possible to have a voice in our future.
