We will be holding an All Souls Day service on Monday November 3rd at 7 pm in the church. If you have any names you want remembered at this service then please add them to the sheets at the back of church.
Sunday November 9th will be our Remembrance Day Service. The service will start slightly early, at 10.50 am, so that we can perform the act of remembrance at 11 am.
The Remembrance Day Service will be followed by the church ACM in the hall. Please wait on for this after the service; we need as many as possible to ensure we are quorate and so that as many members as possible hear about the work of the church over the past year.
Revd Liz O’Ryan will be licensed as our new Associate Priest on Saturday 25th October at 1 pm in St Augustine’s church. Lots of visitors will be at the service. Please come along to support Liz in this new ministry.
Looking for something a little different this week. Then why not go to St Mungo’s, Alexandria for “Autumn Glory – an evening of Flowers, Food, and Fund” on Friday 24th October. Janette Tennant will be giving a floral demonstration at 7.30 in the church hall. The cost is £5, including supper. For more information and tickets contact Pauline Dow (01389 751046).
Remember that this Sunday is the 1st ever St Augustine’s Woolly Hat Sunday.
Please bring any woolly hats, scarves or gloves that you’ve knitted to the 11 am service. All items will be collected as part of the service and will be sent off to the Mission to Seafarers to be given out to sailors in need of some warm winter items when out at sea.
